Privacy Policy

Last updated 20 May 2026

FVR Realty Pty Ltd (“FVR Realty”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, hold, disclose and protect your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Where applicable, we also comply with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) and the Do Not Call Register Act 2006 (Cth).

1. What information we collect

We collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for our commercial real estate functions and activities, including:

  • Identity and contact details — name, email, phone, postal address, employer and role.
  • Property and transaction information — property interests, enquiries, inspection records, offers, leases and contracts.
  • Verification information — identification documents required for anti-money-laundering, trust account and agency obligations.
  • Financial information — limited financial details required to assess offers, deposits or lease covenants.
  • Technical information — IP address, device, browser, pages viewed and cookies when you use our website.
  • Marketing preferences — your subscription, communication and opt-out preferences.

We do not generally collect sensitive information (as defined in the Privacy Act). If we ever need to, we will obtain your consent unless an exception under the APPs applies.

2. How we collect information

We collect personal information directly from you wherever practical — for example when you:

  • submit an enquiry, register interest in a property, or attend an inspection;
  • engage us as a vendor, landlord, purchaser, tenant or advisor;
  • subscribe to market updates or contact us by phone, email or our website; or
  • interact with our digital platforms (including via cookies and analytics).

We may also collect information from third parties such as property data providers, the Australian Land Registry Services, referrers, co-agents, credit and identity verification services, and publicly available sources, where it is unreasonable or impractical to collect it directly from you.

3. Why we collect, hold, use and disclose information

We use personal information to:

  • provide sales, leasing, advisory, capital markets and research services;
  • match buyers, tenants and investors with suitable opportunities;
  • prepare appraisals, marketing campaigns, contracts, leases and reports;
  • comply with our legal, regulatory, taxation and trust account obligations;
  • verify identity and meet anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorism financing requirements;
  • send you market updates, listings and event invitations (you may opt out at any time); and
  • improve our website, services and customer experience.

4. Who we disclose information to

We may disclose your personal information to:

  • vendors, landlords, purchasers, tenants and their advisors involved in a transaction;
  • co-agents, conjunctional agents, valuers, solicitors, accountants and finance providers;
  • government bodies and regulators (including the ATO, ASIC and state revenue offices) where required;
  • our service providers (hosting, CRM, email, analytics, identity verification and document signing); and
  • any party where you have consented or where disclosure is permitted or required by law.

5. Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers (including cloud hosting, email, AI and analytics providers) may store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. Before disclosing personal information overseas we take reasonable steps to ensure the overseas recipient handles your information consistently with the APPs.

6. Direct marketing

We may send you marketing communications about properties, services, market updates and events. Every electronic marketing message will include an unsubscribe facility. You can also opt out at any time by emailing info@fvrrealty.com.au.

7. Cookies and our website

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences, secure logins and measure usage. You can disable cookies in your browser, but some parts of the site may not function correctly.

8. How we store and protect information

We store personal information in secure cloud systems and, where relevant, in physical files at our office. We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure — including access controls, encryption in transit, staff training and vendor due diligence.

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to provide our services and to meet our legal obligations (including the seven-year record-keeping obligations under property and tax legislation). We then destroy or de-identify it in accordance with APP 11.2.

9. Notifiable Data Breaches

If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm, we will respond in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under Part IIIC of the Privacy Act, including notifying the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) and affected individuals where required.

10. Accessing and correcting your information

You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you by contacting us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable period (generally within 30 days). We may need to verify your identity before processing your request. Access is free, although a reasonable cost-recovery charge may apply for substantial requests.
